Reviewing pilot projects under the Framework for Greater Consistency.

Project

A review of seven pilot projects delivered by WRAP with local authority partnerships across England (Cambridgeshire, Cumbria, Norfolk, Northamptonshire, SE London, Staffordshire, Suffolk).  The review sought to compare and contrast findings across the seven project, producing conclusions and learning points to inform WRAP’s programme of work in 2017/18 under the Framework.  An interesting piece of work involving a review of the collection modelling approaches and results generated by some of the UK’s leading consultancies involved in waste systems modelling. 

Key skills

This project benefitted from Circulogic’s expertise in local authority waste systems modelling, and generated a wealth of collection metrics from across a range of collection systems and urban / rural authority types. This knowledge and understanding has been extended through support provided to WRAP in 2020 linked to updates of the ICP (Indicative Costs and Performance) data and facilitation of workshops with local authorities to the scope the requirements of a refreshed Kerbside Costing Tool hosted on the LA Portal.
